September 29, 2020

In September of 2020, Dr. Gil Dhawan was recognized by United States Department of Congress for his work in the Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee’s 2018-2020 charter.

Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross, writes: “The ETTAC produced 23 discrete recommendations by consensus in less than a year and a half, an impressive achievement. Your participation on behalf of the U.S. water and wastewater treatment sector was integral to this process.”

President's “E” Award for Exports

Applied Membranes Receives President's E-Award Applied Membranes, Inc. is proud to announce receiving the President’s “E” Award for Exports, presented by U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross, at a ceremony in Washington, DC on May 21, 2018. The President’s “E” Award is the highest recognition that a U.S. entity can receive for export activities. 

United States Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross, writes: “Applied Membranes has demonstrated a sustained commitment to export expansion. The “E” Awards Committee was very impressed with Applied Membranes’ more than 500% growth in exports over the past four years, which supported a 20% increase in employment. The company’s development of a domestic project to use as a prototype for a project in the Middle East was also particularly notable. Applied Membranes’ achievements have undoubtedly contributed to national export expansion efforts that support the U.S. economy and create American jobs."
